PIC (P08506) Protein Card

General Information
Name PIC (named by ConoServer)
Alternative name(s) PIC[07]
Organism Conus purpurascens
Organism region Eastern Pacific
Organism diet piscivorous
Protein Type Wild type
Notes This peptide was originally named "PIC[O7]" (Hoggard 2017) but as it is the most posttranslationally modified peptide it was renamed as the base-peptide, ie PIC. At 1 uM, PIC[O7P] inhibited the ha3b2 and ra1b1rδ nAChR subtypesby ~30-45%, and <10% at the ha7 nAChR subtype.
