Conorphin-T precursor (P00646) Protein Card

General Information
Name Conorphin-T precursor (named by ConoServer)
Alternative name(s) TxMRCL-03 precursor
Organism Conus textile (Cloth-of-gold cone)
Organism region Indo-Pacific
Organism diet molluscivorous
Protein Type Precursor
Notes This precusor was previously named in ConoServer "TeAr193 precursor" because the predicted mature peptide was TeAr193, but it was subsequently discovered at the protein level that TeAr193 has a different sequence, corresponding to a different processing (Bhatia 2012). Therefore the name of this precursor P00646 was reverted to TxMRCL-03.Brust et al, 2016 reported conorphin-T which have the same sequence as TxMRCL-03 but shorter.
